An autobiographical graphic novel about arriving and feeling foreign between Xi'an and Berlin — full-page illustrations and diary-like episodes in blue line drawing, with the language shifting from illustrated vocabulary into German, Chinese and English. Self-published, 220 pages, edition of 200, with an embedded Riso booklet across eight chapters.
“Using pencil and oil pastel, the German, Berlin-based illustrator Yitong Feng crafts tactile and intimate scenes, often addressing migration, cultural shifts and embodied experiences. Working primarily with comics and hand-drawn imagery, her practice translates cultural transition into visual narrative, exploring how we are shaped by shifts in language, architecture and rituals.”
